A wonderful children's hardcover book called Black Stallion's Sulky Colt by Walter Farley. This book is a great horse story for kids and adults alike. This is an ex-library book.

Bonfire, the Black Stallion’s colt who is a champion harness racer, is in training for the biggest race of his career: the Hambletonian. But a routine practice race turns disastrous in a collision of wood, metal, horses, and jockeys. Bonfire escapes unharmed, but is spooked and refuses to race. Alec Ramsey, the owner of the Black, witnesses the crash and is determined to see that Bonfire follow in the winning footsteps of his world-famous sire.

Walter Farley (1915 – 1989) was an American author, primarily of horse stories for children. His first and most famous work was The Black Stallion. He wrote many sequels, and the series has been continued since his death by his son Steven.

This book is in Good condition. Binding is tight and the pages are clean with no rips or tears. Has light shelf wear. It was a library book and as such has it's card holder on the back inside cover. There are also library marks inside the book.

As New: The book is in the same immaculate condition as when it was published. This could be the description for a book that has been lost in a warehouse for years, never shelved, thumbed or even opened yet may still be some years old.
