This is a lovely cake plate by Erphila Art Pottery and made in Germany. The pattern consists a center floral and floral swags. This platter would be great for all those homemade goodies from cakes to cookies.
Erphila is a mark that was seen used on Czechoslovakian porcelain. Then, after 1920 porcelain from other countries also used this mark. It was used by Ebeling, Reuss, Philadelphia who were importers of fine porcelain. The name "Erphila" came from the first letters of their names E and R (Ebeling & Reuss) and the first part of the city (Phila)delphia. A variety of Erphila vases, pitchers, figurines, and dinner wares in vivid colors are seen in the antique industry. This company is still in business today.

11½ inches in diameter
This vintage platter is in great condition. It has no chips, cracks or crazing. The trim has rubbing and there are utensil marks. This platter was made in the 1930s making it approximately 90 years old.
