Antique EAPG Biscuit Bowl, US Glass, Pennsylvania, Clear Glass, Collectible
A lovely antique EAPG (Early American Pressed Glass) biscuit bowl by US Glass. The pattern is called Pennsylvania. The distinguishing characteristics of the Pennsylvania pattern are diamond shapes and diamond point ovals. This pattern is also known as Balder and Kamoni and was first intoduced in 1897. This would be gorgeous on a buffet, table, or sideboard. It would even made an unique vase. Perfect for the collector of antique glass.
The United States Glass Company was formed when 18 or more glass companies combined in 1891 to better survive trying times as a combined unit. While other factories within the United States Glass Company were forced to close during the Great Depression of the 1930s one large factory survived. The official name of the company remained the United States Glass Company through 1962.

This wonderful antique bowl is in excellent condition. There are no chips or cracks. This bowl at one time did have a cover but after years of being loved and used the cover has been lost. It glows a beautiful yellow-green under a black light. This bowl is approximately 120 years old.
It would be a great gift for an antique glass lover and collector. A wonderful holiday or special occasion gift.
