A wonderful children's hardcover book called Journey Cake, Ho! by Ruth Sawyer. Weekly Reader 1953 edition. Illustrated by Robert McCloskey. This is a 1954 Caldecott Honor Medal winner.

Johnny is leaving the farm because of hard times when his Journey Cake leads him on a merry chase that results in a farmyard full of animals and the family all together again.

Ruth Sawyer (1880 – 1970) was an American storyteller and a writer of fiction and non-fiction for children and adults. She may be best known as the author of Roller Skates, which won the 1937 Newbery Medal. She received the Laura Ingalls Wilder Award in 1965 for her lifetime achievement in children's literature.

John Robert McCloskey (1914 – 2003) was an American writer and illustrator of children's books. He both wrote and illustrated eight picture books and won two Caldecott Medals from the American Library Association for the year's best-illustrated picture book. His best-known work is Make Way For Ducklings, set in Boston.

As New: The book is in the same immaculate condition as when it was published. This could be the description for a book that has been lost in a warehouse for years, never shelved, thumbed or even opened yet may still be some years old.

Fine: A Fine book approaches the condition of As New, but without being crisp. The book may have been opened and read, but there are no defects to the book, jacket or pages.
