Antique Gravy Boat, Noritake Nippon, Waverly, RC (Royal Crockery), White and Gold China, Boat with Cover and Attached Underplate, Sauce Boat
This is a beautiful antique gravy boat with matching cover and attached underplate by Noritake and made in Nippon (Japan). The pattern is called Waverly and consists of a white base with gold lines and trim. It is marked with an RC stamp which stands for 'Royal Crockery'. Marks with the initials RC have a special place in the Noritake production. The first time we find them is in the first marks registered in Japan in 1908, where RC (Royal Crockery) is combined with a "Yajirobe" or a mechanical balance toy. It is not clear how long this symbol was used but in 1911 the first marks with the famous laurel wreath were registered. This would be a gorgeous addition to your table, sideboard, or buffet. Perfect for all types of sauces.

This boat is in excellent condition. It has no chips, cracks, or crazing. The gold only has light wear which is amazing for the age of this beautiful boat. It is approximately 110 years old.
