Antique EAPG Pitcher, Imperial Glass Co, La Rochelle, Flower and Hobstar, 16 Ounce

This is a striking EAPG (Early American Pressed Glass) pitcher made by Imperial Glass Co. This pattern is called La Rochele and consists of a flower on three sides and hobstars in between. It is also known as Cosmos and Four Seventy Four. The pressed glass catches the light and has a fantastic shine. A perfect addition to your table, buffet or sideboard. A wonderful gift idea.

Size:
7¼ inches in height
4 inches in diameter
6½ inches from handle to spout
Holds 16 ounces

This pitcher is in excellent condition. There are no chips or cracks. It is approximately 110 years old. Dealers and collectors who authenticate antique glass turn to the phenomenon that turns clear glass yellow under a long wave black ultraviolet light; it proves the glass was manufactured before 1915, when manganese -- the element that makes glass glow yellow -- was discontinued. This pitcher glows yellow making it older than 1916.

This would make a great holiday or special occasion gift. A great piece to add to your collection.
