Chicken Egg Cup, Made In Occupied Japan, Kitchen Accessory, Breakfast Cup
A beautiful egg cup made in Occupied Japan. The pattern is white with a chicken on the front side and a plain white back. It has gold trim. This breakfast cup will make a great morning statement. Perfect for breakfast or brunch. A great addition to your kitchen and breakfast routine. It would also make a great collectible as kitchen decor.
Many items being exported from Japan from 1945 to 1952 were required by law to be marked with the words “Occupied Japan”, or “Made in Occupied Japan”. General Douglas MacArthur started this to help Japanese people with their post-war economic recovery.

This egg cup is in very good condition. It has no cracks or crazing. It does have a small flea bite chip on its rim, please see photos.

Extremely happy with my purchase. It was exactly as described, shipping was fast considering the holidays and the packing to ensure no breakage was above & beyond. My little treasure was snuggled inside a heavy duty box, tissue wrapped, then bubble wrapped and nestled in tons of packing.
