Taylor, Smith & Taylor Company was in operation from 1900 until 1981 in Chester, West Virginia. The original owners were Colonel John N. Talyor, C.A. Smith, Joseph G. Lee, Albert G. Mason, and William L. Smith.

This platter is in very good condition. There are no chips cracks or crazing. There are some utensil marks and most of the gold trim is worn off. This is normal for a platter of this age. This dates from the 1930s making it over 90 years old.
