Noritake Dinner Plate, Nippon, Sedan Pattern
This is a beautiful dinner plate by Noritake, made in Nippon (Japan). This plate is white on the inside with a light yellow rim and pink and blue flowers. The pattern is called Sedan. This is a wonderful dish for an afternoon tea, to brighten a buffet table or make a dinner table statement. A perfect way to show off your homemade baked goods.
Between 1890 and 1921 the Noritake company marked their export china with "Nippon" in western characters. This dates the pieces from before the McKinley Tariff act demanded "Japan" was used.

This vintage plate is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or crazing. There is some wear on the gold of the rim and a few utensil marks from years and years of being used and loved. Now they need a new home and someone to love them and this could be you.
