Antique Platter, George Jones & Sons, Crescent Ivory, Rare, 100 years old, 16 Inch, Large Serving Platter
This is a gorgeous rare antique platter by George Jones & Sons Crescent Ivory. It was made between 1893 and 1920. The pattern is 24905 and consists of a flower urn in the center of the platter, a black chain before the rim, and an embossed rim. The embossed rim has ribs, urns, and flowers. This is a really beautiful platter and would make a great display piece as well as a useable serving dish. This platter is a great way to own a piece of the past.
George Jones & sons were manufacturers of decorative earthenware and majolica-style wares. The company was established in 1861. In 1872, the started to produce porcelain wares. They operated the Trent Potteries in Stoke-upon-Trent which was renamed Crescent Potteries in 1907. The company closed in 1951.

This antique platter is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or crazing. The platter has just a couple of utensil marks. This platter is in amazing condition considering its age. It is approximately 100 years old and is most likely older.
This would make a great wedding shower, wedding, hostess, or housewarming gift. Treat yourself and own a gorgeous piece of the past.
