This is a lovely lacquered wood jewelry box. There is a mirror under the fold down lid. It has a moving diorama of a rickshaw. The rickshaw's wheels turn as the music box plays Sukiyaki (Ue o Muite Arukou). A Japanese song that is very beautiful and charming. There are 6 lined compartments. 4 of the compartments are fold outs and 2 are drawers. The key to lock the top part of the box is included and does work. This is hand painted with images of mountains, buildings, and trees. It sits on 4 short legs.

There is no singing on the music box just the standard old fashioned music box musical sound. A very pretty tune.

This box is in good condition. I'm rating this as good because of the music box and moving diorama both work. The fold out compartments work well. The drawers are all intact. There is quite a bit of wear to the lacquered finish. This is mainly on the back and the left side of the box. There is also a good amount of wear along the front edge. Please check all photos carefully.
