A gorgeous porcelain doll by Heritage for The Hamilton Collection. The doll was designed by Joke Grobben. This doll has a fine porcelain face that is hand painted. The doll is named Heather and her dress is a lovely pink with a white eyelet apron. She has blonde hair, dark blue eyes, with realistic looking eyelashes. The head, hands, and legs are porcelain and the doll has a soft body. We are providing a doll stand for her and she is in her original box. This would be great for any doll collection or as a gift.
Joke Grobben was born in 1945 in The Hague, Netherlands. A student of sculpture in both The Hague and Florence, Italy, Joke was asked to sculpt a portrait of a friend's child. This launched her career as a doll artist. Joke's dolls inspire both collectors and doll artists everywhere. For Joke, making doll-children of the world is her "island refuge in the sea."
