Antique Bouillon Cup and Saucer, T. & V Limoges, Fine Bone China, Rare, Pink Roses, Blue Lines, Footed Cup

A gorgeous antique footed bouillon cup and saucer by T. & V Limoges, France. T. and V. stands for Tressemanes & Vogt. This set has pink roses, blue lines, 2 handles, and dark blue trim. The cups and saucers are many-sided. It is made of fine bone china. This set would look spectacular on a dining table, buffet, or sideboard. It would be lovely in a china cabinet. A perfect gift idea for the collector of antique china. This china dates from 1907-1919.

Tressemanes & Vogt
Porcelain factory partnered by Gustave Vogt (1849-1937) and Émilien de Tressemanes. Their partnership began in 1882 when they ran the Limoges-based decorating firm founded in the 1850s by John Vogt. Their factory produced high-quality whiteware for the American export market. Tressemanes retired in 1907 and Vogt was sole owner until 1919 when Martial Raynaud acquired the company.

ETIQUETTE:
Bouillon is drunk entirely from the cup or sipped from a spoon, one or the other but never both (that's bad table manners!). To test the temperature, a single sip is taken from the spoon. When bouillon is drunk from the cup, the cup is held by one or both of the open-loop handles, whichever is more comfortable.

Size:
Cup
2 ¼ inches in height
3 ½ inches in diameter
4 ¼ inches handle to handle

Saucer
5 ½ inches in diameter

This set is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks, or crazing. This pattern is rare and hard to find.

This set would make a great wedding, holiday, or special occasion gift idea. Perfect for the collector of antique fine china. Treat yourself to a bit of past elegance.
