Salt and Pepper Condiment Set, Chikaramachi Japan, Noritake, Lusterware, Hand Painted, Collectibles, Made in Japan
A charming condiment set by Chikaramachi Japan. The set includes salt and pepper shakers, mustard pot, and tray. I have included a sterling silver spoon to the set at no extra charge. They are hand-painted with a scene of trees, blue lusterware and gold trim. This would be a great set for a collector. A wonderful gift idea or addition to a table, sideboard, or buffet.
These were made at the Noritake factory, Chikaramachi branch, from 1928-1946.
Lusterware is a technique that is centuries old. The iridescent quality is the result of a metallic glaze that is applied during the last firing.

The pepper shaker is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. The salt shaker is in very good condition with a tiny chip in the tree design. The mustard pot in is very good condition with one small chip to the paint in the tree design as well, please check all photos. The tray is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. It comes with a sterling silver spoon by Rogers and Brothers in excellent condition at no extra charge. The spoon is engraved with a letter 'K' at the top.
The set would make a great gift idea for a housewarming, hostess, or other occasions.
