Antique Gravy Boat, T & R Boote, Flemish Garland, Royal Semi-Porcelain, Pink Rose Pattern, Boat with Underplate, Serving Dish, Sauce Boat, Collectible
This is a lovely antique gravy boat with matching underplate by T & R Boote in Royal Sem-Porcelain. The pattern is called Flemish Garland and consists of a beautiful rose and vine garland pattern and gold trim. This piece would make a great addition to an antique collection. It would be a lovely addition to a china cabinet as a display piece or a centerpiece filled with flowers. The underplate could be used as a butter or relish dish on its own.
Boote was founded by Thomas and Richard Boote in Burslem, Staffordshire, England, in 1842. The company made pavement tiles, Parian ware, and earthenware. It began making white graniteware for export to the United States in 1888. Production was limited to tiles after 1906. T. & R. Boote used a boat as part of its mark from 1890 to 1906.

The gravy boat is in fair condition with a hairline crack on the edge (Please see photos). The underplate is in excellent condition with no cracks or crazing. It does have marks from the gravy boat and flea bite chips on one side. On both pieces, the gold trim shows lots of rubbing and wear. The price does not include the gravy boat.
